Server crashing when loading Simply Static

I installed the Simply Static plugin, and the installation seems to work without any issues. However, when I try to run the plugin (by clicking on "Simply Static" from the dashboard menu on the left), it loads a blank page.

After that, anything I try results in an "Internal Server Error." It works again if I add the following two lines:

Require all denied Require host localhost

However, whenever I try to use Simply Static again, the same issue reappears. I've tried many solutions but still can’t fix it. What can I do?
