Simple-SMS-Messenger is F-Droid version still supported?

Hi,

I noticed that the F-Droid version is still at 5.19.3, which was released in October 2023, and the same applies to the GitHub version. In contrast, the Play Store version is 6.1.2, updated in April 2024.

Is the F-Droid version still being supported?

He means the Dev sold this app to Zipoapps, a greasy data gathering, ad spewing blight on the Play store. See: https://www.makeuseof.com/simple-mobile-tools-privacy-risk-use-alternative

Some loyal SMT folks here offered to fork the project and maintain its savory open source flavor last year. I'm not sure of its status though.
