Lock screen notification doesn't always bring you to new message

Open Cwpute opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

How to reproduce:

  1. View a photo sent to you via sms or mms from within the app
  2. Switch to another app
  3. Lock the screen
  4. Wait for a new message to arrive
  5. Double-tap on the notification on the lock screen
  6. The app brings you back to the photo you were watching before switching apps

Simple SMS should send the user to the new message which triggered the notification when double-tapping on it, instead of simply opening the app again in the situation it was before.

I'm not even brought to the conversation screen: i'm brought back to the photo i was viewing in another conversation before switching apps and locking the screen.

so it isnt related to images at all? It happens with casual conversations too? If you have one open, clicking on the notification doesnt switch to the proper conversation?

I'm not sure as i haven't tested it when the app wasn't open on an image. The only thing i can say right now is that this bug occured to me in that exact situation i described, i'll try testing it in other situations when i remember and have the time to.
