Writing cursor goes back to beginning of the message

Hi, Thanks for your work and this great and awesome app.

When I'm writing a message, if my phone screen turns to energy saving (while I make a break), the cursor goes back to the beginning of the message when I get out of energy saving mode.

My phone is Samsung Galaxy S4 mini, OS: lineageos 14.1, aosp keyboard

what app version are you using? Did the behaviour change just recently?

Version 5.17.1. I installed the app this morning. So I think this behaviour was here since the beginning.

Same on Galaxy A12 when I change to another app and come back: the cursor is at the beginning of the text and I would expect it where it was before.
