Issues when importing messages

Open glocalglocal opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

I exported SMS texts from another app, made Simple SMS Messenger the default app for SMS and imported all SMS texts. It generally worked but:

  • all preview messages on the conversations list show the same time for all SMS previews -- the time I imported the messages rather than the actual received time.
  • the previewed message above is not always the most recent in a conversation. Instead, the app often shows the preview of a seemingly random message from the conversation.
  • when I open a conversation and scroll to the top, the app fetches more messages from the Android store. Presumably, this means the app is not aware of older messages and searching for text in a conversation will miss them.

Came here to report similar. I exported from Simple SMS Messenger on one phone and imported to Simple SMS Messenger on another. For me, the date/timestamps on the preview do seem to be correct. I see the second problem, although in my case it seems to be the oldest message that is shown in the preview, rather than a random one (and not the newest, as it should be!)
