Feature Request: Blocked Inbox
Hello, like Samsung messages, having messages that come from blocked numbers go somewhere where I can read them would be really handy. I would use this ti block all texts coming from non-contacts, but still have a place to look for second factor codes, or friends with new numbers, or to watch incoming communications of people I have purposefully blocked.
I would imagine this would have no notifications and no indication of new blocked messages, and only would show them as new when going into whatever screen/option to view them.
This is very similar to what I proposed in #75.
In that proposal, there would be a tab that shows conversations with your favorites, a tab that shows conversations with any of your contacts (including favorites), and a third tab that shows all conversations. The third tab is where you would find messages from unknown numbers, such as the 2FA codes. You could set different notification preferences for each tab, so you could make it to where you get notifications for favorites and contacts but not for the unknown numbers. I think it wouldn't show messages from blocked numbers, the whole point of blocking them is so you don't see those messages. But for muting all messages from unknown people it works great. Also, when you're receiving a 2FA code you know to go to that third tab to look for it and it will be at the top since it's the most recent.
@tibbi if you change your mind about #75, I can update the code for the most recent version. Maybe it could be made an optional view so it doesn't confuse users who don't want it?
I would love to have this feature. Always during election seasons, my spam texts just exponentially ramp up. But having an optional muted section separate for non-contacts' messages would reduce irritation and stress tenfold. Please seriously consider adding this feature.
