MMS is not recieved

MMS messages are not recieved and do not show up. When opened in a different SMS app, the MMS messages are shown together from Unknown as download files which, when downloaded, finally get the message recieved. This did not happen in the past, and MMS messages were properly recieved, but this apparently started happening at some point.

I really love this app, but this issue has made it unusable for now. Please fix this issue.

So if you use our Simple SMS Messenger when the messages arrives, it isnt shown even after opening the app? Then if you use some other app, it is shown?

I've also noticed this.

To add a bit more detail: Using SimpleSMSMessenger version 5.15.0 on Lineage-19.1, installed using F-Droid. My phone is rooted, if that might make a difference.

The initial MMS was from a known contact with whom I've previous SMS. The message initially wasn't seen at all, while later SMS from the same contact showed up fine. Switching to a different SMS application showed a message to download. Switching back to SimpleSMS at that point showed a blank/missing message, with the sender icon on the left, but without any text or option to download. Downloading the MMS with another app, SImpleSMS now shows the message fine.

I'll see if I can get some more detailed logs later this week, is there a preferred format/source to assist in fault-finding?

The same Here. The MMS are not received. I'm using a Realme 8 Pro (it's NOT rooted), using Version 12 of Android, with OS Realme UI 3.0 RMX3081_11_C.18.

Same here. Pixel 3A running stock Android 12.

I've the same problem. I've got a phone running Android 12 and a phone running Android 10. A10 works fine. when I run debug with A12 I get nothing. I threw in some print statements to find where the issue is coming from. It's not from this app. It's either commons or the klinker41 fork.

I have the same issue, where someone has sent an MMS but I don't receive (I haven't checked in another SMS app). I very rarely have mobile data turned on, although always have Wi-Fi on, if that's relevant. Android 9, app 5.15.0.

Same here, in version 5.16.5. Interesting thing is, after force-closing and reopening the app MMS messages start working again. This might have something to do with the app running for a long time.

Same here, I need to jump to Google Messages daily to make sure I'm not missing messages waiting to be downloaded.
