Cannot launch app after install - is Lollipop still supported?
I installed the latest release on an old Sprint Slate 8 tablet running Lollipop 5.1 but find I cannot launch it - it immediately closes, no error messages, no opportunity to change settings or grant permissions or anything else. What's wrong?
Device is AQT80 manufactured by Quanta, the manufacturer's page is long gone, best description I can find is at https://phonedb.net/index.php?m=device&id=9300&c=sprint_slate_8_tablet_aqt80_td-lte&d=detailed_specs
I got a logcat. I wasn't sure what would be relevant so I didn't try to filter it (apart from clearing out some account addresses). Just cleared the buffers, started the logcat, launched the app. Saw the orange flash go by, then Ctrl-C to close the log.

Edit1 - Ugh. I tried to attach it from the system where I have ADB installed, but Github refuses to work with any version of any browser that can be installed on that system, demanding only the versions which cannot be installed there. Had to get it copied to a usb stick and transferred to a different laptop with only one specific browser that Github would condescend to serve the page to.
Edit2 - Even worse, Github refuses to accept it from this browser too. It just keeps saying "Something went really wrong, and we can't process that file. Try again." Let me try pasting it in a code block... sorry about this ugly mess!
Edit3 - and even THAT does not work... also I tried zipping it but I can't get the zip to attach either... how can I get this to you?

Github really, Really, REALLY needs to stop making changes just for the sake of breaking stuff!
omg, that file is a big 1 line mess. Keep the original style please with new lines.
logcat wrote an ugly mess like that. I have added whitespace, hopefully this time more readable... simpleSMSmesenger.launch.logcat.whitespace.txt
I dont see the crash reason there, guess Ill keep an eye on it. But Lollipop is on the edge of not being supported, so I dont want to put too much work in that anymore.
Is there any logcat options to get any more clues for debugging? I just did the most commonly recommended way since I didn't know what to look for. Or are there any permissions I should try to set from ADB? Any other places to look for error messages?
