Still waiting for Google API to add RCS?

This isn't yet possible since Android hasn't created an access point for RCS but there are ever-increasing rumors of an API coming soon

Apparently it is also going to support Signal Protocol as this technical paper Messages End-to-End Encryption indicates.

Apparently, from what I've read, there won't be any API for this...

Did I got it wrong? Can anyone confirm this?

It seems like there is open source implementation of client - server api, I don't know if this can helps.
