cursor jumps to other note

nokia6 android 7.1.2 Simple Notes v4.1.0

When i move the cursor towards the start or end of a note, it jumps to the previous / next note if i cross the first / last position. That makes it awkward to position the cursor. Is this expected behaviour?

In my view the notes (in the "tabs") should be independent of one another as per the readme >>> Supports creating multiple independent notes. I would expect the cursor to stop at the start or end of a note.
