Widget "not big" enough (for more content)

Widget appears as a narrow band in its allocated frame. Can you broaden it so I don't need to use two rows for a wider band (with title, etc) that should fit in one. I prefer to use a high value for (so called)"minimum width" (title in android12, "smallest width" android10) in developers options, which makes it look sillier.
