Bug Report: Next key after backspace sometimes ignored

After pressing backspace (especially if removing the last character in a text box), the next key pressed is often ignored and has to be pressed twice to get the character into the text box. After this, subsequent characters are correctly handled.

I'm using GrapheneOS/Android 13 on Pixel 6 BTW. Build number: TQ1A.230105.002.2023012500
