Folder View Replacement Error When Creating Empty Folder

Open CarlaShawi opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Description:

In the Simple Gallery app, when a user creates a new empty folder (Folder A), and subsequently creates another new empty folder (Folder B), the system interface incorrectly replaces the view of Folder A with Folder B in the folder display area. This issue indicates a bug where the system does not appropriately manage or display multiple newly created empty folders independently. This issue again affects the usability of the app.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Simple Gallery App.
  2. Click on the three dots to get more options menu.
  3. Click on Create New Folder.
  4. Name the new folder and click ok
  5. Leave it empty.
  6. Create Another New Folder and also leave it empty.
  7. Verify that the new folder displays on the view folders page.
  8. Observe that the name of the first folder created gets replaced with the second

Actual Behavior: Upon creating Folder B, the folder view area replaces the display of Folder A with Folder B, making it seem as though Folder A no longer exists or has been replaced by Folder B in the view.

Expected Behavior: The folder view area should independently display both Folder A and Folder B, allowing the user to see and interact with both folders separately without one replacing the view of the other.

Device Information:

Device Model: Pixel 6 Pro API 34 OS Version: Android version 14 App Version: Simple Gallery 6.28.1
