Language Change Not Possible for API 27 but possible for API 34 in Simple Gallery App
Description:
In the Simple Gallery app, there is an issue regarding the inability to change the app language on devices running API 27 (Android 8.0.1). However, this functionality is available and operational on devices running API 34 (Android 14). Notably, the specified minimum SDK version for the app is 23, indicating support for API 27 devices.
This issue highlights a potential disparity in how the Simple Gallery app handles language change operations across distinct Android versions, particularly impacting users on API 27. As a result, users are unable to adjust the app language on devices running API 27, resulting in a compromised user experience.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Open Simple Gallery App.
- Click on the three dots to get more options menu.
- Click on Settings
- Go to General section
Actual Behavior: On devices running API 27, the Simple Gallery app lacks a dedicated "Language" section within the settings menu, preventing users from modifying the app language.
Expected Behavior: The Simple Gallery app should include a "Language" section within the settings menu on API 27 devices, similar to the functionality available on API 34 devices.
