Seek Bar Rounding on Some MP4 Files

The seek bar in the video player has a tendency to round up or down on certain MP4 files, though not others.

As an example, attempting to seek to 00:03 on an affected file instead seeks to 00:00. I have not been able to identify why this issue occurs on some files and not others.

It is probably related that these same files' seek bars will often not advance past 00:00 for slightly over a second before 'catching up' with the video.

It's nost noticable on short (5-10 second videos), but I've seen the rounding occur on videos of any length.

is it more reliable in other apps? Especially short videos.

Yes. Neither Google Photos or Gallery Go exhibit this behavior on my device.
