Cannot open panorama in photosphere mode after editing geo information in digikam

Steps to reproduce:

• create panorama (not 3D-panorama) photo
• edit geolocation in digikam
• button for viewing in photosphere mode is disappeared

I'm not sure if it only works when you change geolocation.

Pixel 5a, Android 12, app version 6.24.1 (F-Droid)

does it work in any other gallery? Maybe the proper data is removed from the file

Yes, it works in standard gallery

I've just hit a similar issue with mine -- I'm still offered the button to switch to panorama view, but the rendering is... interesting:

They look correct in Google Photos on Android (though a bit squished, both before and after tagging -- possibly the OnePlus camera doesn't write panorama metadata correctly?), but it looks like they're being turned sideways here.
