Folders ending with image extensions show up as blank pictures in the gallery
Device Info:
- Android 11 (Lineage OS)
- Xiaomi Mi 9T / K20
- Rooted (Magisk)
- Simple Gallery Pro 6.22.3 (F-Droid)
Description: If a folder's name ends with an image extension (eg .png) then this folder appears in the gallery as a blank (transparent/invisible?) picture. This occurs whether the folder contains files or not.
To reproduce:
- Create a folder in any place in the filesystem (eg. ~/Pictures) and add an image extension at the end (eg. TestFolder.png)
- Open Simple Gallery Pro and refresh the gallery
- Observe a blank image show up with the folder's name
Expected behaviour: The folder does not show up in the gallery.
guess the app thinks that it is a portrait, try toggling Portrait at the top Menu -> Filter if anything changes.
Hi, thanks for your reply! I checked the filtering settings and Portraits were already disabled. I also tried disabling the rest one by one out of curiosity, but nothing changed (except for when I disabled images of course, which caused the blank images to disappear).
