Flashlight with unlocked screen

Would it be possible to activate the flash even with the screen turned off or not unlocked? In case of emergency.

like what should trigger it? Do some devices have an extra button or something?

I thought more about keystrokes, or press the x key on the key; Or press it after activating emergency calls .. or something like that. As long as it is possible, of course
