SecurityException toast message right after granting Storage Access Permission.

I'm on Android 9. Simple File Manager Pro v6.15.2 from Fdroid. Every time I revoke and grant (when opening the app) storage permission again I get a toast message . the rest works fine so far and I get to explore my storage.screenshot below:
