Moving files on the same partition could be much quicker

Example

  • using Simple File Manager to move a 307 mb directory with 62 jpg files from one directory on my phone's internal sd card to another directory on my phone's internal sd card (same partition) takes 18 seconds; copying the same directory takes the same amount of time;
  • using Ghost Commander to do the same, takes 4 seconds to move, 14 seconds to copy

I think the problem here might be that moving files from-to the same partition should not copy their data, it should just change their "addressess" in the "file allocation table" (or something like that: please forgive my approximation). I'm reporting this since I find SFM much easier and comfortable to use than GC, and it also has a selection mechanism which to me is far superior than GC's, but this problem is quite big when I have to move around many files on the same partition, and it happens to me quite often.
