Simple-Dialer
Simple-Dialer copied to clipboard
Only exact matches or matches of full national phone number are shown
Steps to reproduce:
- Have a contact with a phone number in international notation, e.g.
+49 1234 56789, i.e. including country calling code. - Search for the contact in dialer
for the phone number (international notation) above, the national notation would be 01234 56789. See also: E.123 standard.
What happens:
a) if typing the exact (international notation) number, it matches and is shown in list. This is expected.
b) if typing any part of the international notation number, it matches and is shown in list. This is expected.
c) if typing the full national notation number, it matches and is shown in list. This is expected
d) if typing any prefix of the number in national notation (e.g. 01234 56), it does not match and is not shown in list. This is not expected.
What should happen:
Please make the search also match the international noted phone number when typing an incomplete phone number in national notation.

are you talking about Simple Dialer, or Simple Contacts?
are you talking about Simple Dialer, or Simple Contacts?
I am talking about Simple Dialer. Simple Contacts does not seem to understand the concept of national phone numbers at all (yet?).
The latest version of Simple Dialer is 5.6.2, there is no Pro version of it. You seem to be mixing up your apps, I still dont know which one you mea.
Sorry for confusion. I do mean "Simple Dialer v5.6.2" (from f-droid store). I have corrected the initial post above.
