With 6 times, the screen freeze for 10-20 seconds

I have Simple-Clock open and Timers screen with 6 timers: 40min, 4h, 5h, 6h, 23h, 23h.

The application works normal, when I regulary check the timers.

After 1-2-3 hours break, when I wakeup the phone (power button), the application shows a black screen. After 10-20 seconds the app works normal.

If I switch to another application and back to Simple-Clock (...Or, if I close and reopen Simple-Clock, I do not remember) Then, instead of black screen, I see the list of timers, BUT not frozen, not counting AND showing wrong/expired time. After 10-20 seconds the screen refresh and works normal.

This happened few times.

@tibbi Hi. There are few more issues with Timers

1.1. It is using Android notification settings 1.2. But it is not respecting the DND settings 1.3. And with 6 times in app "Timers" screen, under "Settings/Apps/Simple-Clock / Notifications", I have a list of 23 items with title "Timer". The timers title I set inside application is not shown.

Summary - it is hard to make it run normal, but stay silent during night and work meetings.

  1. At some point, somehow, the application start beeping non-stop when it does not have the focus and there is notification message "timer XYZ is running".

"Beep" because it is not using the alarm sound I selected for my Timers. Maybe it is using the default sound.

I am certain, it was not "beeping" initially! Killing the application did not help - after restart the app, the "beep" continue, when the app lose focus.

Finally, in "Settings/Apps/Simple-Clock / Notifications", I turned Off the first "Timer" item in the list and "beep" stopped - only the first item from the list and I still get notification for the running timers.

Sorry, I do not have more details. In order to understand and reproduce it, probably, I have to restart the phone. Maybe you know better how it integrates with the Android OS.

  1. I checked few other applications... TimerDroid looks good, but adding timers is very complicated and unfriendly...

Anyway, you may like their "Settings/Alarms" button - it directly opens "Settings/Apps/Simple-Clock / Notifications".

Maybe, this is it: https://github.com/hoffimar/timerdroid/commit/9becda625d8238bfddf8fc38a534176d6c882de4
