[Feature Request] Timer: Option to change from a "padlock" style time selector to input with keyboard

Open hasezoey opened this issue 2 years ago • 8 comments

I would like to request a option to use input where time can be input via a keyboard (virtual?) in numbers mode, instead of the current "padlock" style swipe-selector

Example Screenshots

Current padlock style: padlock

For Example Google Clock's time selector: gclock

+1 for easier input. It is hard to set timer for 12h and 30 minutes.

I needed to time my clicks and actions in a game and I tried Simple-Clock application. Allow me to add few side notes here.

Simple-Clock can shows many times in one screen and that is useful.

Sort the list of timers could be useful too - default, by time, by name.

Timer auto restart could be useful. Like: 'beep every 10 minutes without manual restart'.

Bigger font size for timer name, could be useful. (But then there will be less space - instead 6-7 items, the list will show only 3-4 timers).

this is a very important feature for me and i imagine it wont be very hard to implement, i would be interested in doing so if it is not to hard for me

I'm feeling really dumb, I realized that Simple Clock does support keyboard entry

The keyboard icon during the time padlock screen brings it up. Is OPs issue that they want a setting to set it default or do they not have access to the keyboard (that's what the screenshots in OP look like to me.)

If keyboard input was also possible for the Timer tab that would be awesome. Currently setting a timer is only possible with the "padlock" style input which is very slow to edit especially for long timers were it takes multiple swipes to get to the number you want.

I would let set it as option in settings and I think default option should be the keyboard input.
