Feature request: alarm in front of lock screen

Open CyrusCT opened this issue 6 years ago • 4 comments

Alarm displays behind lock screen. Can a setting be added to make the alarm display in front of the lock screen?

Most alarm apps display the alarm in front of the lock screen, however this app displays my alarm behind the lock screen, and I must enter my complex unlock code/pattern before being able to smooze or dismiss an alarm. see why some users might appreciate this behavior, so maybe having it as an option in Settings would add the most value.

It works like that already. What app version and Android OS version do you have? Does it work the same way at the timer?

I have app vrsion 3.1.2 and android version 6.0.1. I found a work around where if I rotate my phone to change the screen orientation, that moves the alarm in front of the lock screen when the screen re-draws for the new aspect ratio, so I can rotate instead of unlocking when I want to snooze or dismiss an alarm. Changing the screen orientation also causes the alarm sound to stop while the screen is re-drawing, and then replay from the start once the re-draw is complete.

I tested with the timer and experienced more of the same. I think my battery optimization settings may be pausing the timer while my screen is off because the timer did not go off when expected and only a few seconds were counted while my screen was off.

I have the same issue. I have to unlock the lock screen to snooze/dismiss the alarm. I'm on the Fdroid version 5.2.2 and Android version 8.1.

Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I bought a new cover and has subsequently started placing the phone different in the holder on my nightstand (the lock keeping it closed is on the back with the new cover), but lately I haven't noticed this behaviour, but I have experienced it.

I have the same issue. I have to unlock the lock screen to snooze/dismiss the alarm. I'm on the Fdroid version 5.2.2 and Android version 8.1.

I also have this issue and I'm on version 5.8.1 on Android 12.1

Edit: This seems to have fixed itself without me doing anything specific. I will report back if it occurs again.
