This is happening for me as well on a Fairphone 3+ with newest updates, both system and app. The app installed via f-droid.

If the alarm-clock is ringing while the phone is locked and i switch left to snooze, it just stops and will not ring again.

However if the phone is unlocked and in use, i can snooze the alarm and it will ring again after snoozing period.

So at least on my end it must have something to do how snooze is handled on a locked phone, maybe some permission problems?

not permissions, but your device settings. Maybe some notification settings, or battery saving ones.

have to say im very disappointed. Nearly every app i use from simple tools has major flaws which wont get fixed in a year. Snoozing works if enabled via push notification. when using simple tools it simply densest work.

It's worth noting that version 5.2.1 works as expected: swipe left to snooze on lock screen truly does snooze on my Moto G7 Play on Android 10. When the bug appeared in version 5.2.2 I downgraded.

I try out new versions when they are released; I keep going back to 5.2.1. Used to install from F-Droid, but now I'm running the apk attached to the 5.2.1 release here.

Please fix this bug in the newest version, that's like one of the most essential features of a clock app

Snooze was working fine for me until I updated to Android 11 (Moto G9 plus). I was using the latest version 5.6.1. I use a custom snooze time. Downgraded to 5.2.1 and now it is working agin
