Alarm will not sound while device is on vibrate mode

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus
Android 10
Simple Clock version 5.0.4

My alarms will only vibrate while my device is on vibrate mode when they should be overriding my ringtone setting. I can adjust the alarm volume while it's sounding if my ringtone volume is on but it doesn't persist once my device is set to vibrate. I checked all notification settings and permissions and nothing seemed amiss there. Allowing the app to bypass Do Not Disturb and disabling battery optimization didn't solve the problem.

I tested another app from F-Droid, Alarmio, and it still sounds alarms correctly irrespective of other system volume settings.

The same applies to silent mode. Currently, the only option to make the alarm clock ring (the phone is set to vibrate/silent mode) is to put the phone in ring mode and turn on airplane mode, which is very annoying.
