[Feature Request] Time Scheduler
May be some day you will find this feature possible to realize.
The main idea is implementing Time Scheduler that can Turn OFF/ON the phone in time and can take into account present Alarm Clock schedule.
For example, the scheduler can automatically Turn OFF the phone in the evening at certain time you set, and Turn ON (wake up) in the morning.
This is very handy feature that can:
- save us 1/3 ... 1/2 of battery lifetime of the device = less number of charging iterations
- better power consumption and temperature regime for HW parts
- no disturbing at night / in the morning / daytime = predictable everyday activity schedule
- no network connections / possible data leaks at night = no wakelocks or any unwanted activity
This feature is closely coupled within smart alarm clock functions. The phone must Turn ON in time, according to actual Alarm Clock setting (or a few minutes before/after), regardless of "wake up" scheduler setting.
Yeah, it's probably not easy task...
Let's say, I have some usual week schedule(s): Turn ON the phone at 7:25 and Alarm Clock at 7:30. Next, if I need to set the new temporary alarm (using (+) button for non-standard, "One-Shot Alarm" event) to 6:00 for tomorrow and don't want break my usual "Turn ON" schedule, this shouldn't be a problem: the Alarm Clock anyway will wake up the phone at 5:58 (automatically) and I'll hear the alarm sound at 6:00 (regardless of the fact that I have usual "Turn ON" schedule at 7:25). When done, this "one-shot" temporary added alarm will disappear (or will appear as disabled) and I should return to my usual week schedule(s) again.
This exellent functionality is already done by Xiaomi in their MIUI ROMs, but we lack this functionality in the custom ROMs.
Ages ago I've searched over hole Internet for any utilty/tool can do this fo me and didn't find a single app until today.
P.S. Of course... after Google will fix a shame bug of the standard Alarm Clock appeared in Pie...
