alarm should not change when daylight saving time kicks in

Open arteteco opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

Hello all,

This morning I had my alarm clock at 4:30 in the morning. During the night there was the switch to light-saving here in Europe, so the system clock advanced one hour, as supposed to.

Problem is, the alarm clock went on at 5:30, which I don't think is the intended behaviour.

Mobile: samsung galaxy S4 OS: LineageOS 14.1 based on Android 7.1.2 Simple clock: 4.3.0, installed on F-droid

Thanks!

Many more issues have been raised about this since: #151, #264, #266 (and probably several I haven't seen), but nothing seems to have happened for 2½ years, and this app is even written by a guy living in Slovakia where they do use DST (as far as I know at least). So presumably the developer doesn't use his own app (at least not as an alarm clock for getting up at the right time).

DST just switched in the states today and I hit this bug too in version 5.9.4. Luckily on this side of the switch it meant my alarm went off an hour early and not late
