sliding monthy view

Monthly view always shows the full calendar month, when it gets close to the end of the month it shows mostly the past and not the future which is hardly ideal. Please provide a new type of view or an option to position the existing monthly view is such a way that the current week will be the first or maybe the second visible week and an option to scroll this view by a week.

Google Calendar has something similar in that you can have one custom view where you can set how much it shows at once. It's a little weird though, it has the options two weeks and four weeks, while I've found that two weeks is too little but I don't really need the fourth one.

A sliding three-week calendar view would be extremely helpful to me (especially as a widget; see also #488); the current monthly view shows six weeks which is way too much for many things, and makes it hard to display more than one or two events for every day. Of course the number of weeks for a sliding view wouldn't have to be hardcoded, any number between two and six should still be reasonably display-able so being able to customize this would probably be best.
