Maximum limit of concurrent alarms reached

Open bjoern-tantau opened this issue 3 years ago • 7 comments

Every few minutes I get the error message

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Maximum limit of concurrent alarms 500 reached for uid: u0a6, callingPackage: com.simplemobiletools.calendar. pro

I'm running version 6.17.0 from F-Droid. I have many entries with alarms so that could easily be over 500 over the next two or three years or so.

do you have some app like Birthday Adapter or so installed? Related to #1037

No app like Birthday Adapter installed. But I have the birthday calendar from my Nextcloud synced. I sync via DavX5.

I could trigger the message reliably by forcing a sync from Simple Calendar. When I removed the syncing of the birthdays it wouldn't come up again. Now I've re-added the syncing of the birthdays and the message seems to be gone.

I'll add more to #1037 if the message reappears.

I've added my calendars through aCalDAV instead of DAVx5 a few weeks ago and the bug seems to be gone. So it's probably somewhere in DAVx5.

Had the same issue using DAVx5 and Outlook. Reinstall of Simple-Calendar solved it (for now).
