ICSx5 Events are not seen as Read-Only

Open legoatoom opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

The events created with ICSx5 are stored locally with Simple-Calendar. However the .ics events are read-only but the app does not realise this, and it allows the user to edit them. Since that is impossible it results in funky behaviour that should be avoided.

Therefor I would like to suggest a feature to set an event type to read-only. Meaning that the event can only be viewed and not edited in any way.

What app and OS version are you using? Are you syncing via NextCloud or what service?

Apps : Simple-Calendar-Pro, ICSx5 Using Android 11 Syncing via an ical url that does not require authentication.

I had the same kind of issue. It is possible to edit a read-only event, and in that case it does not receive further updates from ICSx5. I would like it way better if those events were impossible to edit, or if at least the modifications were overwritten by the next sync.
