Buff Mechs

Open EctoplasmIsGood opened this issue 8 months ago • 1 comments

Description

All this PR does is switch out some mech batteries for power cages since power cages exist for mechs. This is a significant energy upgrade to the mauler and a more moderate change to the other mechs. The PR also doubles the mauler's integrity (it's meant to be a walking tank) but increases its repair time by five seconds.

Changelog

:cl:

  • tweak: Most prefilled mechs have been given power cages rather then power cells
  • tweak: The mauler has had its health doubled, but its repair time extended

Walkthrough

This update modifies mech entity definitions in a YAML configuration file. It corrects trailing whitespace in the MechGygax entity and adjusts the battery types for several mech battery entities, switching from PowerCellHyper to the appropriate PowerCage variants. The MechMaulerSyndie entity receives an increase in maximum integrity and a longer repair delay. These changes impact mech durability, repair process timing, and the specific batteries used by each mech.

Changes

File(s) Change Summary
Resources/Prototypes/_Goobstation/Entities/Objects/Specific/Mech/mechs.yml - Removed trailing whitespace from MechGygax MovementAlwaysTouching component.
- Changed battery fills for MechMarauderBattery, MechGygaxSyndieBattery, and MechMaulerSyndieBattery from PowerCellHyper to PowerCageMedium/High.
- Increased MechMaulerSyndie maxIntegrity from 500 to 1000 and Repairable doAfterDelay from 25 to 30.

Poem

In the hangars of Biesel, mechs stand tall,
Their batteries swapped, no Sol tricks at all.
Integrity doubled, repairs take their time,
No trailing spaces—such code is a crime!
With PowerCages charged, our fleet’s set to go,
The Republic’s machines, ready to show!
