[MNT] remove `tqdm` progress bars and dependency

This PR removes tqdm and all related (progress bar) functionality.

This is diagnostic, on suspicion that tqdm interacts with multiprocessing and causes the failures in https://github.com/SimonBlanke/Hyperactive/issues/83
