BookShelf: Bright pixel line at the bottom of the screen
Hello!
From the very beginning of my work with Baker's Newsstand mode, I noticed that my custom background for the bookshelf isn't working properly. I always see the bright line (of one or several pixels height) at the bottom of the screen:
I have the background image that in fact is a gradient of brightness - from bright till dark, and I thought it's a tiling issue. I've added black thick line at the top of the background image (keeping the image size untouched), thinking about vertical tiling, but, this is not solved this issue.
Any comments on this?
Hi, thanks for the report. :) Let's see...
- Have you tried changing the book backgorund color?
- Have you tried changing the background image size?
- Can you post/link the image here?
- I think, book background color has no sense here: there's no book folder - only Newsstand mode.
- Yes. I have enlarged my image by 20px on height. No changes in behavior.

Ok, thanks, we'll check. :)
We tested both on simulator and device and the problem doesn't appear. Does it happen on your simulator? Did you try a different device?
Thanks for the respond. It happen on the device - iPad 1, iOS v.5.1.1 I have no different device (yet ;-) )
But, what about colors? What color it could be? (looks like orange or white...) Where it could be configurable? Maybe somewhere in Baker's code? (XCode) Is there any place in Baker's code where the Bookshelf view is building? Maybe, default bookshelf background color?
Well, I think it might be a problem with the device itself.
Also: please note that the new version of Baker will not support iOS 5 anymore.
