Cursor blurry at every size

Hi, absolutely love this cursor theme. Only issue is, I'm trying to switch to it from Adwaita cursor in Cinnamon, on a laptop with a 1920x1080 screen (not Retina or 4K or anything crazy). This cursor theme just looks blurry/fuzzy at the edges regardless of what pointer-size I set in dconf/gconf. Which size should I be using, and is there anything I can try to get it looking sharp like Adwaita does? Thanks!

EDIT I realise I hadn't tried size 64 (!) which doesn't seem pixelated. Is this the native resolution? If so, I'm keen to find out how to resize the set of cursors down to e.g. 24px while remaining crisp.

Hmm, that's very interesting. The native resolution shouldn't matter, I build the cursors from SVGs that get made into PNGs, which includes a 24px size so it should look fine. That's the resolution I use as well, actually, and the only cursors that I really see being noticeably blurry are certain resize cursors and the Fleur. I think the inherent design of these cursors is what's causing the blur, as the outline is very wide. I'm planning on redesigning those cursors specifically to prevent that from happening, especially since the original bibata cursor has changed considerably from what it was when I first made this cursor set. However, there may be other problems if you're getting blur on other sizes. To help narrow down the problem, where did you install the theme from? GitHub releases, AUR, or Pling? In the meantime. I'll set up a VirtualBox on my 1920x1080 computer and see if I get any problems on a cinnamon desktop with any of the releases.

Installing from source on Linux mint running the cinnamon desktop environment, I'm not noticing any problems with blurry cursors. Could you post a few screenshots so I can see what you're referring to?

I was using the AUR version, I'm using Cinnamon on Manjaro. When I get out of class I will find a screenshot tool that includes the cursor so I can demonstrate and I'll put the screenshots here.

Here's the cursor over the title bar of a terminal:

and for comparison:

These are both set to the size of 20px but the same thing occurs at 24px and 28px. I zoomed in on the screenshots a bit, is it just that the 'borders' of the shapes in translucent are grey-ish instead of white? On my display it just looks like fuzziness / anti-aliasing artefacts but I might just have an issue with the colour, I'm not sure.

When you run your Mint VirtualBox, does it look like my first screenshot here?

forgive me, but I'm not really seeing much blurriness in the pictures. there might be something on the left edge of the cursor, and my best guess is that it's the drop shadow. ill take a look at the svg. idk, i may just be used to it at this point so i don't see much of a difference.
