Auto-GPT cannot execute commands that require user input

Issue
Ask Auto-GPT to create a TypeScript Next.js app.
Will execute the correct command:
npx create-next-app --typescript
But this command requires user input so it will hang.
Opened the issue previously but don't think it has been understood correctly: https://github.com/Significant-Gravitas/Auto-GPT/issues/1368
It doesn't hang, or not in my case anyway.
I leave it for roughly about 5 min, hit enter and it starts going through the rest of the process.
