Citation form images not generated from video

I have uploaded a video for a sign, but the only way to add a citation form image is to make one manually (outside of Signbank) and upload it. There is no automatically generated image in the entry, and the "Create" button returns me to the view mode without creating a still. As a result, in the entries list, the video does not show, whereas entries with a manually added still do show the still and video (on hovering).
