Reconnect with Dbus service

I'm using DBus to connect to a system bus to connect to a service and when the service is restarted I'm unable to send/receive any signal or messages to the service. Is there a way to create a heartbeat connection where I can keep trying to connect to DBus service when it's restarted to disconnected or if there is any alternate way to do the same please let me know.
