How to use skottie with this package?
Description
Hi there, i am using rn skia in my projects lately and i love it! can we use skottie module so we get rid of lottie react native?? cause lottie react native has lots of frame drops. thanks.
Hey, Skottie isn't part of react-native-skia and likely won't become it. I am working on a react-native-skia-skottie module.
Expect some news about it in the following weeks 😊

dotlottie is just a zip file, open it there is the lottie json in it

At the moment I can only give more spoilers 😅 Here is a comparison recorded with flashlight between Lottie and Skottie on a very weak/low-end android device:
Be assured that we didn't forgot about skottie and have it baking in the oven 😊 (Its just a bit hard to give a time expectation at this point).

Hey @hannojg ! Would love an update too. Doing a skottie react native skia module has been in my backlog for 2 months as I was pushing back in the hope you'd release something soonish, waiting for an update from you before digging in.
It is soon the last R&D topic I have to nail and will have to start from scratch if I don't hear back from you. If you're busy doing something else these days, that's totally cool. Please know that I'd be happy to assist or take over if that's what you need.
Just let us know! There's a few people hanging on this thread and keeping us in the dark isn't cool after such a tease.

Hey, thanks for the ping guys! I am actually done with another project and have some availability now. I will try to make a first version of the library available by the end of this week. Stay tuned 😼
Hey @hannojg, How is the react-native-skia-skottie project going? we are egarly waiting to see the alpha version.
@hannojg Part of #1894, I'm implementing a JSI resource provider for the SVG module, this resource provider would be useful for Skottie as well, you may have already implemented something similar, maybe we can coordinate on this, let me know.
@hannojg, I tried to use your react-native-rlottie package, but setting the autoPlay and loop props to false is not working. Do you have any idea how I can get it to work correctly?

@nurikjohn Yes, a few days ago I got the ownership over the rlottie repo back. Will update that one soon as well 😊
