Spacing issues and unable to re-size default font

With some amounts of wins/finals, the text doesn't fit properly (see the 'finals' part in the bottom right of this screenshot, it goes over the colon). I'm unable to resize it so that doesn't happen, so I decided to make the font smaller instead, yet the default font is unable to be made smaller, I just get this error. I know I could just switch to another font but I like the default one. Why is this?
