game crash "bottled fire" + "?negative energy blast?"

I'm on patch 24 and the new base mode for patch 24

not sure if I got the artifact and attack name right, basically I got artifact that puts a selected attack card into your hand at the start of combat and I chose the upgraded version of the in card that attacks all enemies (I believe it's 8 damage to all enemies) while inflicting NegativeLevel , the moment the combat started the game crashed, restarting the game and continuing had the same result

after the patch25 and the new base mod the game no longer crashes (haven't played since the crash and was able to resume the run without issue after the update)
