Did you extract zip arcive before launching the app?

Shii2 avatar Aug 19 '19 14:08 Shii2

Nothing happens neither for me, zip archive already extracted, tried to run the app with win 7/8 compatibility and OVRservice On/Off

Not really sure why this happens. Is Windows 10 updated? Try installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2. Can be found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53344 If this won't help try installing x86 version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 that can be found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads Direct link: https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x86.exe

I think the problem is that i'm using Rift S and there are no calibration files for touch controllers

xOrion24 avatar Aug 19 '19 15:08 xOrion24

Oh. It definitely won't work with Rift S. I still using Oculus Rift CV1 and can't test it with Rift S. I'll add this info to the main page.

I am using the Oculus Rift CV1 on Windows 10, and am also unable to open/start the application. When I unzip and extract all the content, it only shows me the files (CONFIG, MANIFEST, CS File, RESX, CSPROJ, SLN, etc.) and no executable file.

I did download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 and the x86 version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 as you recommended above, to no avail. Nothing different happens.

Please advise step-by-step how to launch the application? Thank you for your hard work and for helping us with this problem!!

xcalibervr, you downloaded source code, not compiled program. Go to Releases tab https://github.com/Shii2/OculusTouchCalibration/releases and download file OculusTouchCalibrationTool-v1.0.zip

@Shii2 - You were absolutely right. My apologes for not knowing where to get that compiled program from. It worked, and the program works like gangbusters! I lowered the -X value by 50 and the controller now works perfectly!!! Thank you so much for this!!! (Is there a review system or anything I can leave you points/kudos via?)
