Error when opening EQG file

There is a file called dbg.txt inside the guildhall.eqg. Inside the file is this.

Making any change to file causes everquest to crash when zoning into that zone.

[Mon Oct 03 23:30:33 2016]00249:StartWorldDisplay() is bailing out: EverQuest cannot find the zone file 'guildhall' in the directory that you are currently running EverQuest from.  Please check and make sure that you do not have more than one directory with EverQuest installed.  If so, you may be running from the wrong directory.
