External hard drive format

Because I’m using a Mac, I can’t format my hard drive to NTFS format, Is there a way of changing the code so that it accepts xfat format. Or is there a reason why it needs to use NTFS format?

Any help would be great thank you! I love this toolkit it makes everything so easy. Thanks
