[BUG] "Sound on Mention" no longer works

Current Behavior
Noticed that for the past few days when I have been @'d in a twitch chat 7TV plugin no longers plays a sound on the mention. Nothing has changed on my end since this started happening. Tried reinstalling plugin, tried vanilla settings / custom settings and 2 different browser. Even with nightly it still doesn't work.
Expected Behavior
When using the "play sound on mention" I expect a sound/ping to be played when someone mentions me in a chatroom that I am part of.
Steps To Reproduce
Install 7TV Open Twitch Open 7TV Settings Enable Sound on mention No sound playing when mentioned in a chat.
I have the same problem! It suddenly stopped working. If you use "custom sound", it works sometimes. But the setting is gone when restarting the browser (you have to manually redo the setting). Maybe it's because the xpi isn't verified (I have to debug the add-on to load v3.1.1)

I don't use the "Flash Title on Mention" but the Sound one is still fully broken. I would've expected a comment by now so sucks that I often missed messages as it isn't playing the sound as it should
Workaround (the effect will be temporary - refreshing page will reset this setting): 1 download file from the repo https://github.com/SevenTV/Extension/blob/master/public/assets/sound/ping.ogg 2 "Set custom sound" and use downloaded file Sound notifications are back!

I don't get why it would reset every page refresh. Is this a bug or is it intended? Because I can't be bothered to set it each time I refresh the site..
Really annoying that this issue is still a thing. One of the main things that made me switch to 7TV aside from emotes.
I'm also using Firefox. I had the same problem no sound on mention. It's been 2 months
