empty USB not detected by Mac-Linux_USB-Loader

Just purchased this program.

Trying to use macOS Mojave to create a bootable Linux USB on an empty 32GB USB drive. The program will not detect the USB. I cna see it find on the mac and have tried reformatiing but still no brand new USBs are recognized by this program but seem fine on my mac.

Anyoen foudn a solution to this yet?
