Milder event can still occur after Milder's death

The conversation where Dink tries to boast about his adventures to the bar patrons in Terris, and Milder walks in to humiliate him, can still occur even after Milder is supposed to have vanished into the Darklands, or died.

Would it be difficult to block this event from occurring after the storyline has progressed to the point where Milder has gone to the Darklands?

So far I've limited my changes on Dink HD to just engine/compatibility/quality of life and not changed any game stuff - I don't really trust myself to do it right!

The DarkLands was a cover story so Milder could escape guard duty and instead pick up chicks. The entire last section is just a melding of both Milder and Dink's dreams/nightmares, hence why Aunt Maria refuses to believe his tale of saving the world.
