Widget Genre Missing Icons

Open hernandito opened this issue 2 years ago • 13 comments

Hi... When I configure a Categories Widget, and I use the submenu widget style, the genre icons are missing... It looks like the space is there for the icon...

Switching to the Genre icon does show the image, but this display option is too tall.

Is there a way to fix this?

Many thanks.

AFAIK in order to use a genre widget with it's genre icon, you must set the widget style to Genre in order for the icons to show up.

If you get the genre "error" icon, I posted a somewhat solution about here at https://github.com/SerpentDrago/skin.auramod/issues/230#issuecomment-1050584866_

if that doesn't work, let me know.

I was hoping that the icons would show up with the Submenu option. The submenu looks like it’s designed to hold icons…. With the Genre option, they are big posters, which are overkill in their size… this size makes sense showing a movie poster… a big genre icon is too big.

thanks

we all know what you were trying to do . the problem is pragmatically its a really hard problem to fix . its hard to explain ?

@SerpentDrago is right cause its going to be hard and I did before a long time ago. I went into the genra icons folder, unpack them, copy them, maybe photoshop, then add each individual actions with the icon, or just use autowidget to make anything possible. Btw @SerpentDrago it's been a long time sense I seen you, it's good to see you and hope your doing well.

Understood, thank you. I thought it was a small bug somewhere…. I will look into AutoWidget.

Thank you again.

I figured it would be pretty much the same thing as the update I did with the season poster in my "Fix4-Includes_View_Posters" issue post here. Although the code for genre icons is confusing the crap out of me(this whole thing is tbh(i think it's the multi-file coding aspect that really kicking my butt)), I can't seem to understand where any of it points to or where to find specific things other than massive trail and error.

It does look like it would work though:

But idk what I'm doing lol. I would assume it's quite complicated considering the icon variables.
