Menu option to show/hide sidebar
I stuck with just Query view for a few days and even submitted a bug report #1097 after several attempts to figure out why all the table views disappeared. Turned out the sidebar had 0 width, which I accidentally discovered by hopelessly clicking around. 😁
Generally I would say hiding the sidebar is quite useless in this particular case, and I would prefer it having some minimum width to prevent such issues, but I also think it's always better to stick with macOS standard UX, e.g. Finder's sidebar can be resized to 0 and reopened from the main menu View > Show Sidebar.

Ran into the same issue today and spent around 20 minutes figuring out why there was no data in my DB, as well as all the buttons being grayed out. Should definitely be more obvious that you can undock/dock the sidebar.
Same here, I was using queries for weeks now as I couldn't figure out why the views where greyed out. Had some time today to google this and ended up here. There shouldn't be a size zero sidebar.
I had the same issue until I found #1097
Would love to see this as well. If the option to show the sidebar is enabled you should not be able to make the width less than a small amount of pixels. So you are able to see what's in the sidebar.
