Describe the bug While trying to Join a Game or Hosting a game, I get this Error message: Client disconnected. Reason: Could not connect to the YourControls gauge. Do you have the community package installed correctly?

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior, for example:

  1. Open YourControls
  2. Enter the Code and click Join. Same goes for Creating a Server (Cloud P2P and IPv4 selected)

Expected behavior Joing a Server, or Host a game.

Additional context It worked for my Friend.

PLEASE ATTACH EVERYONE'S LOGS log.txt

The WASM isn't loading. A: YourControls is not installed correctly. B: You have an outdated mod blocking all WASM modules from loading.

I and my friend were playing a hours ago, I managed to help him by:

  1. Go into your YourControl installation folder, you should see a folder named community and under that, you should have an other folder named YourControl
  2. Open your MSFS installation folder(folder should contain both Community and Official folders
  3. Copy the YourControl folder from your YourControl installation to the MSFS installation's Community folder

This can also be caused by foreign characters in your windows username, and unfortunately this is a MSFS bug that we cannot fix.

Edit: Did more troubleshooting and started looking at your code closer to figure out what was going on. Essentially, this comes down to poorly written KB's. Your KB's skip some important information for the manual and automatic setup. Feel free to poke if you would ever like some help improving!

original: Getting this error as well. Followed directions in KB without positive result.

Game is installed via Steam so I tried installing to the Community folder which defaults to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community.

Dropping "YourControls" folder and launching from here results in error.

Confirmed there are no special characters in the username. There is something else going on here that is causing this bug. Feel free to hit me up to troubleshoot as I have over 10+ years of IT experience to assist.

Hey. I got the Same issue (the same error message) heres my Story: I tried to play with my friend. I installed the Programm (YourControl) According to Instructions. I Dropped the "YourControls" folder from the Installation directory into the Community folder. But i am getting the Same error message as in the Issue stated by OP. My friend and me tried multiple Aircrafts and multiple ways to connect -> Cloud Service and cloud P2P. Anyone any solution to this day ?
